Went to ER

10/13/13 What we hoped would be a nice weekend ended up being filled with me holding a thermometer and wishing her abdominal pain away. I had been told to expect that Bactrim would cause digestive issues/stomach complaints. But this was more than that, I feared. Since being released from the hospital, her temperature had mostly been lingering in the 98s and had never gone over 99.2. So as it crept up to the mid-99s on Sunday, I was on full alert. At 9pm on Sunday evening her oral temp was 99.9 and she had a temporal reading of 100.3. Being neutropenic, anything over 100 was grounds for a call to her doctor. I called and her doctor agreed that I should bring her right in to ER.
